The Red Lodge, Ghillie Brae Cottage and Laggan Cottage are offered on a self-catering basis. All three cottages are located in stunning locations on Islay.

The Red Lodge

red-lodge-300The Red Lodge is a modern architect designed building which was built in 2001 on the site of the original Red Lodge. It is situated approx. 2 miles from Bowmore at the Laggan Bridge on the High Road between Bowmore and Port Ellen. The Red Lodge sits slightly elevated on the banks of the river Laggan and has stunning panoramic views which can be taken in while sitting on the covered veranda enjoying Islay’s beautiful sunsets.

Laggan Cottage

for-blurb-300-173Laggan Cottage is 2 bedroom bungalow which sits just below Ghillie Brae on Laggan Point. It is accessed by a single farm track road of approx. 2 miles. Imagine waking to the stunning views from the bedroom window of Laggan Bay and the ‘Big Strand’ out towards the Oa. A short walk will take you to a small beach and the mouth of the river Laggan which can be crossed by a rope bridge – that spans the river – onto the ‘Big Strand’ where you can walk for nearly 8 miles on one of the most beautiful beaches on Islay.

Ghillie Brae

ghillie-braeGhillie Brae is a modern 2 bedroom bungalow which was built in 2002. It is accessed by a single farm track road of approx. 2 miles. Ghillie Brae sits slightly elevated with stunning views over the Laggan Bay and the ‘Big Strand’. On a clear day you can see the Antrim coastline. A short walk will take you to a small beach and the mouth of the river Laggan which can be crossed by a rope bridge that spans the river Laggan.
